We wish to thank the staff of Harrison Hospital for the care given to our mother after the stroke that ultimately led to her death.

We wish to thank the staff of Harrison Hospital for the care given to our mother after the stroke that ultimately led to her death. In particular, we appreciate the care shown by the 3 West and PCU staff. We also want to express our deepest gratitude to the overworked emergency staff. It seemed like we got to know them well and admire them the three successive weekends we were in ER.

First let me say that as a previous heart attack patient I was apprehensive to say the least.

First let me say that as a previous heart attack patient I was apprehensive to say the least. I was quickly wheeled into the emergency department where a bearded man put me immediately at ease. He was so reassuring! Next, a very patient young man gently asked me questions - he was obviously skilled at dealing with nervous people. All of the nurses and the doctors that attended me were also reassuring. It was recommended that I stay for another day for further testing. At no time did I feel I was rushed or herded through.

Again, the next day, I still got wonderful care. I was warmed, monitored closely, and reassured by very competent people. Even the blood draws were tolerable. I was to see three doctors and two delightful volunteers. Recognizing my sight was impaired, one woman even cut my food so I could eat more efficiently.

And, concerning the food - it was, in my opinion, for hospital fare, excellent.

The excellent care and concern I received first in the ER department and afterwards by the crew on 4 West was greatly appreciated.

The excellent care and concern I received first in the ER department and afterwards by the crew on 4 West was greatly appreciated. In fact, it could not have been better. This confirms the high rating "our" hospital continues to enjoy. God bless you all.

I would like to congratulate the whole hospital and in particular the staff of 2 Southeast for the excellent care I received during my stay. Each staff member I encountered was considerate and courteous. The care was superb. I admit I hope I don't need you again, but I wanted to let you know I think your facility is "A1".

My mother was recently in your care, being treated for ovarian cancer.

My mother was recently in your care, being treated for ovarian cancer. I am writing to say thank you for taking such good care of her. I live in Massachusetts, and being so far away, I am unable to see her as often as I would like. Writing this letter helps. I thank you from my heart for being so kind to her.

We recently spent many hours in the Critical Care Department at Harrison with a family member. The care she received was outstanding. We had so many questions, and in each case they were answered with care and concern. All of the nurses in the CCD were great to all of us and very good at what is a very tough job. When our loved one moved to the fourth floor the same was true. So many family members were there and we were always welcomed with warm wishes and help. The care she received in every aspect of her illness was exemplary. One behalf of every member of our family, thank all of you at Harrison from the bottom of our hearts. We are lucky to have a facility that is staffed with so many caring, dedicated people.

I would like to thank every nurse, physician, and staff person involved in the care of my stepmother.

I would like to thank every nurse, physician, and staff person involved in the care of my stepmother. Those at the nurses' station on 3 West and 4 West showed me great kindness whenever I spoke to them. This was a very sad and upsetting time for me.

I have been in many hospitals and never before witnessed such gentle, tender patient care. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I have never been in a place where I really felt everyone was concerned with my well-being.

I have never been in a place where I really felt everyone was concerned with my well-being. I was just overwhelmed with the service! I have had surgery at other hospitals, but I am utterly amazed at how compassionate people are here at Harrison. After surgery they brought me breakfast. When I had to stay even longer they brought me lunch. The next day they called me at home, and even sent me a letter!! I know it sounds funny, but I just can't wait for my next visit.

I am writing this letter to you because there isn't enough space on the patient satisfaction form.

I am writing this letter to you because there isn't enough space on the patient satisfaction form you sent to let you know how much I appreciated your kindness and exceptional customer service.

I was scheduled for day surgery with Dr. Johnny Green on July 21st. From the moment my partner and I walked in for my appointment until I was released, we were greeted by friendly and courteous staff. We especially liked the volunteer who introduced herself and told us that she would be looking for my partner as soon as the surgery was over to give her an update on my condition.

Your staff went beyond the call of duty by having a notary come to my pre-op room, eliminating our concern that my partner would not be able to make the decisions we had agreed upon should that become necessary.

We were treated with respect and courtesy by everyone. I would not hesitate to recommend Harrison Hospital to anyone and will choose this facility again should the need arise.

My husband was treated for 13 years for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma at the Virginia Mason Clinic, Seattle.

My husband was treated for 13 years for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma at the Virginia Mason Clinic, Seattle. In early July, he was diagnosed with a rare form of acute mylegenous leukemia. The options were not optimistic, so we chose supportive care, and his life expectancy was four months. We then made the decision to seek medical care closer to home.

He required blood transfusions every four days until his death September 14. Your Optimum center was excellent. All the nurses were so caring and it was evident that they are devoted. Thank you to all of you. You helped us so much. Because of you, we were able to take four three-day trips in August in between transfusions. You gave us quality of life these last few months. A special thank you to Glynn Huff. My husband loved you.

He was admitted September 12 and died on our 42 anniversary, two days later. To all you wonderful, caring nurses I will never forget you. You not only gave my husband excellent , compassionate care, but you also showed me love and empathy, which I desperately needed. You accommodated my wishes to sleep in his room, lie in bed and hold him on his last day of life. Then you allowed me to assist in washing his body after his death. God bless you all for the work you do. I truly admire and respect all of you.

And to the hospital itself: the accommodations for families are excellent. The non-restricted visiting hours, lounge areas, access to phones, coffee, etc, are all well planned for the families of loved ones.
