Last year more than 270 employees responded to our invitation to make Harrison one of their charitable choices, including 172 who pledged “one hour of pay per month” and became members of the Boomerang Club, our leadership level of giving. As a result, more than $107,000 was contributed by employees through last year’s Campaign. These gifts impacted patients by providing their loved ones with chairs to sit at the bedside; televisions to pass the time waiting for services; and, simple taxi rides or clothes to ensure that they leave the hospital better than they arrived. Many other services and education opportunities also resulted from the choice these employees made around their charitable giving—thank you!
One of the most fulfilling opportunities we have is to be able to make a gift where we believe it will have the greatest impact. As community members, we are approached by many organizations around giving and ultimately, the choice of where we designate our charitable gifts truly comes from within.
We would like to extend an invitation to all employees who are not currently participating through Employee Giving to consider the impact you could make by choosing to support Harrison this year with a charitable gift. Choosing to give is simple, just complete a pledge form and either mail, fax or send via interoffice mail to the Foundation. Become a Boomerang Club member (by pledging an hour of pay per month), or Pledge a Cup of Coffee a Day (50¢ a day/$5 per pay), or choose your own amount. Every gift matters and if we come together and pledge our support, more great things will happen here at Harrison.
Please take a moment to learn from fellow colleagues who have made the choice to give through the Employee Giving Program.
