Our distinction is your advantage

There’s a simple truth about hospitals: they’re not all the same. And not every medical center is recognized as being distinctive.

One facility may specialize in certain areas and not in others, and even though a hospital may have a solid overall reputation, it’s not necessarily the right choice for having knee and hip joint replacement surgery.

That’s why Harrison Medical Center is proud to have been recognized as a Blue Distinction Center for Knee and Hip Replacement Surgery® by Regence BlueShield in Washington. This recognition shows that we’ve demonstrated a commitment to excellence when it comes to delivering quality care, treatment expertise, and exceptional patient results.

For you, our Blue Distinction designation for Knee and Hip Replacement Surgery® makes it easier to find the quality specialty care you deserve.

Only 13 hospitals in Washington State have earned this designation for quality care. Harrison is the only Blue Distinction Center for Knee and Hip Replacement® serving the Kitsap, Olympic, and Key peninsulas, along with Mason County.

If you require specialty care, you and your doctor will make a shared decision about where to seek treatment. The Blue Distinction program was designed to provide you with the critical, objective information that you need to make an informed decision. At Harrison Medical Center, it’s a decision we take seriously. When you and your primary care physician are evaluating your options, both of you need to be certain that you’re getting quality care.

Facilities like ours only become Blue Distinction Center after a completing a rigorous evaluation process. The criteria used to select these facilities were developed with input from expert physicians and leading medical organizations. As a result, patients can have confidence that Blue Distinction Centers have demonstrated better overall outcomes.
