Harrison Medical Center will support National Prostate Cancer Awareness month by offering an awareness forum on Wednesday, Sept. 29. The public is invited to attend this free educational event.

Local community cancer physicians with expertise in urology, radiation oncology, medical oncology, and pathology will present topics related to prostate cancer.

National attention on prostate cancer
The National Football League and the American Urological Association have partnered to heighten awareness and educate men about prostate cancer. This national campaign, Know Your Stats about Prostate Cancer now is in its second year. The campaign spokesman is Pro Football Hall of Fame recipient Mike Haynes.

Public service announcements, national interviews, and national advertising will bring attention to this important men’s health issue from Sept. 1 through Oct.15. Visit Know Your Stats about Prostate Cancer.
