A Fond Farewell to the Festival of Trees

FOT Image Close up

A community tradition since 1987.

Throughout the years this event has had a tremendous impact on healthcare in our community: accounting for $3 million in direct support of programs at Harrison Medical Center. It has also been a part of every major initiative at the hospital, recently, supporting: the Emergency Room expansion, the development of ongoing program support for Pediatric Rehabilitation, the introduction of cardiac surgery in the community, as well as enhancements to the “healing environment” for our inpatient oncology unit.

This year we raised more than $342,000 to benefit Harrison’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU), especially our ability to reach out support family members who are an essential component of caring for our most critically ill patients. Included in this initiative is a much-needed refurbishing of our ICU Waiting Room. Including new furnishings to offer expanded seating, as well as improved lighting and enhancements to hospitality, entertainment, and communication -- all of which are designed to better support and care for families, during the long hours of waiting that accompany critical patient care in the ICU.

We are thankful for all of the community support we have received over the past 25 years.  We wish you all a happy and health holiday season!
